This Privacy Policy explains how Watch It With Me (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, stores, and shares your personal information when you join our waitlist or subscribe to receive updates from us.

1) What we collect

When you join our waitlist, we collect:

  • Email address (the only field you enter).

We may also receive or generate limited technical and usage information that is commonly provided when you use a website or submit a form (e.g., timestamp of sign‑up, IP address, device/browser information) for security, fraud prevention, and troubleshooting.

We may also collect anonymous analytics and attribution information (e.g., pages viewed, referring site, and UTM campaign parameters) to understand website performance and waitlist conversion.

2) How we collect information

We collect information when you:

  • enter your email address in our waitlist form; and
  • interact with our emails (e.g., opening an email or clicking a link), where supported by email technology.

3) Why we collect and use your information

We use your information to:

  • add you to our waitlist and keep track of subscribers;
  • send you updates about our product, launch timing, and related announcements;
  • communicate with you if you contact us or request support;
  • measure website performance and understand which traffic sources lead to waitlist signups;
  • maintain security and prevent spam, fraud, or abuse; and
  • comply with legal obligations.

4) Marketing, consent, and unsubscribing

By providing your email address, you consent to receiving waitlist and product updates from us.

You can unsubscribe at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any email we send you. If you have trouble unsubscribing, contact us at hello@watchitwithme.app.

5) Service providers (Buttondown, PostHog, Vercel)

We use Buttondown to manage our email list and send emails. When you join the waitlist, your email address (and any related technical information described above) may be processed and stored by Buttondown on our behalf.

We use PostHog for product analytics and Vercel Analytics for aggregate website analytics. These providers may process technical/usage data (such as page views, referral data, and campaign parameters) on our behalf to help us measure traffic and conversions.

6) Sharing your information

We do not sell your personal information.

We may share your information only:

  • with Buttondown (as described above);
  • with other service providers that help us operate our website or communications (only if needed), under confidentiality and security obligations; or
  • where required or permitted by law (e.g., to respond to a lawful request, protect our rights, or prevent fraud).

7) Overseas disclosures

Our service providers (including Buttondown) may store or process information outside Australia, depending on where their infrastructure and staff are located. This means your information may be subject to the laws of other countries.

8) Cookies

We use essential cookies/storage necessary for operation and security, and limited analytics storage (cookies/local storage) for anonymous traffic and waitlist attribution measurement. We do not use advertising cookies.

9) Data retention

We keep your email address:

  • until you unsubscribe, or
  • as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes in this policy, including to comply with legal obligations and resolve disputes.

If you unsubscribe, we may retain a minimal record (e.g., your email address) to ensure we respect your unsubscribe request and for compliance purposes.

Anonymous analytics and attribution records may be retained for a limited period to support reporting and anti-abuse monitoring.

10) Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, interference, loss, unauthorised access, modification, or disclosure. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

11) Your rights (access and correction)

You can request access to, or correction of, the personal information we hold about you by contacting hello@watchitwithme.app.

If you are in Australia and are not satisfied with our response, you may be able to lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).

12) Children

Our waitlist is not directed to children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will take steps to delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We'll post the updated version on this page and update the Effective date above.
